There is a shop, a Post Office, a laundry room and a large children’s play area on site. In the village is a trout farm, riding school, and numerous walks are possible in the area.
Superb food and drink are available at The Bar ‘n’ Bistro at the edge of the site, as well as the Masons’ Arms just across the road.
The caravans are spaciously set out in attractive landscaped grounds with car parking beside each caravan. A 5mph speed limit is in operation around the park.
Caravans accessible to wheelchairs are available.
The Beeches Caravan Park is a small, quiet park in a peaceful village, 5 miles north of Cockermouth, Cumbria. The Park has fantastic views over the Solway Firth, renowned for its breath-taking sunsets.
The Park is just 5 miles from the childhood home of William Wordsworth in nearby Cockermouth. We are 3.5 miles from the unspoilt Solway Coast at Allonby. It is in an ideal position for touring the Northern and Western Lake District, within easy travelling from Keswick (30 mins), Bassenthwaite Lake, Derwentwater, Loweswater, Buttermere, Ennerdale and other lakes – beautiful scenery and great walking.
The Lake District has a captivating story to tell. We have a rich heritage just waiting to be explored, all within easy reach of the park. Why not visit one of the 50 or so Neolithic stone circles, enjoy the entertainment at thirteenth-century Muncaster Castle or take a cruise on Lake Windermere or visit our historic harbours to discover our rich maritime heritage.
