From the fells above Cockermouth to the quieter lanes near Carlisle, our Cumbria caravan parks put you within easy reach of some of Britain’s best-loved scenery — tranquil lakes, dramatic fells and charming market towns — without ever feeling like just another pitch on a big site.
We have five family-run caravan parks across Cumbria: Forest Views and Meadows Retreat Lodge Park in Moota, near Cockermouth; Hesket Caravan Park at High Hesket, near Carlisle; Inglenook Caravan Park at Fitz Bridge, Lamplugh; and The Beeches at Gilcrux.
Each caravan park has its own setting and character, from lakeside outlooks to quieter countryside plots, but all share the same relaxed, well-kept feel and a team who treat owners like part of the family, season after season.
Owning here means proper access to the Lake District without the crowds that can come with staying right in its busiest towns. Derwentwater, Whinlatter Forest and Honister Slate Mine are all within striking distance, along with the Solway coast and the market towns of Cockermouth and Carlisle for a day away from the fells.
It’s a landscape that changes with the seasons – golden bracken in autumn, snow on the tops in winter – which is part of why so many of our owners come back to their holiday home all year round, not just for the classic summer break.
